The Clarion Way is based on the philosophical teachings as revealed in The Soul and Service Trilogy.  The Trilogy provides the foundational teachings of the Institute for the Advancement of Service evolved by Susan Trout, over the many years since the Institute's founding in 1980. 

Are you being called by the urgency of our time to serve from a place of wholeness? 

The Clarion Way courses are conducted via email and phone or video conferencing and follow the framework of the three books in The Trilogy. Courses range from introductory to advanced levels, are of differing lengths, and include the unique element of one-on-one faculty support.


The following courses are currently being offered:


Born to Serve

A three-month course based on Born to Serve: The Evolution of the Soul through Service that supports you in experiencing service as an expression of the soul’s evolution. You will integrate knowledge and experience concerning the soul-service connection by strengthening the awareness of the relationship between your motives for serving and the quality of your service.

The Awakened Leader

A four-month course based on The Awakened Leader: Leadership as a Classroom of the Soul that supports you in experiencing Stage Five leadership as a classroom for the soul’s evolution.

Are you being called to lead consciously from a state of inner balance?

The Universal Tributes

Ten four-week lessons which can be taken independently of one another.  Based on the Universal Tributes in Born to Serve: The Evolution of the Soul through Service, this course supports you as you learn to monitor your inner state and choose outer actions that serve the wellbeing of yourself and others.

Entering the 5th Dimension: A Clarion Call for a New World

A two-month course that provides a context for understanding ten shifts that are currently occurring as old structures and belief systems collapse and new ones emerge.

Are you being called to work harmoniously with and
in groups towards a
shared purpose?

Bringing Civility to the Workplace

A three-month course to support you in developing and applying practical communication skills that enhance civility in the leader-group relationship.

Civility and Healing the Gossip Habit 

A two-month course to support you in exploring the value of communicating with strength, skill, and kindness.
