Undoing Habits Workshop

2012-10-20
from 09:00 to 15:00

Cost: $90 ($80 if registered and paid in full by Monday, October 15)

The intent of this practical workshop is to learn how to consciously change and release personal habits that disrupt your physical, emotional, and spiritual health.  Once you understand the neurological mechanism of how habits function, you can learn how to call on your free will to transform them.

This workshop incorporates the framework for changing habits described in Charles Duhigg’s book, The Power of Habit.  You will learn how to identify your habit loop – the reward driving your behavior, the cue triggering it, and the routine itself – and to develop a better routine by planning for the cue and choosing a behavior that delivers the reward you are craving.

A commitment to transform your habits requires calling on will qualities of self-effort, discipline, and practice.  Therefore, following the workshop, practice sessions will be offered at the Intitute to support your continuing work with habit change.
