Kuan Yin Healing Practice: The Inner Work of Poetry Medicine

Learn and practice a profound method for exploring deep wounds in the psyche that long for release and healing.
from 09:00 to 13:00

Cost: $40 per session

Have you found it challenging to make time or find space to do your inner work?

Would you like to heal your heart of wounds from the past and the present?

Would you like to be supported by the Divine energy of mercy and compassion and be able to support others with these Divine gifts?

Description: Based on the teachings in Stephen Levine’s Becoming Kuan Yin: The Evolution of Compassion, these practice sessions review and reinforce the teachings of Kuan Yin and guide participants through meditation and gentle body movement practices designed to bring us into our hearts.  From this place deep in the body, blossoming from the heart, poems that heal us emerge.

If you are thinking "poetry is not my thing" or "I am not a writer," consider that the practice of medicine poetry is less about poetry and writing than it is a tool for doing deep inner work.  Participants are not expected or required to share their poems.  If you've found yourself neglecting your inner work, use these practice sessions, providing a safe space and supportive body practices, to allow yourself to go deep within and unearth those obstacles to the growth and development of your soul – and to heal them, once and for all.

How quiet one must be ~ a single thought can muffle it. ~ Stephen Levine, Becoming Kuan Yin

Note: This Kuan Yin Healing Practice Series is being offered on three Saturdays: January 31, February 28, and March 28.  Participants may choose to attend any or all three sessions.
